Sent when an email that was scheduled (returned with status 202 by Send Email) can’t be sent when its send slot comes, for example because the domain stopped being able to send, credits ran out or the recipient was suppressed in the meantime. The email’s status becomes failed and it isn’t retried.
Sent to the webhook URL configured in your dashboard for emails sent with Send Email. Every event is a POST with a JSON body, and all events share the same envelope: id, type, created and data. data.message_id matches the message_id returned by Send Email.
Retries: respond with any 2xx status within 10 seconds. Otherwise the event is retried 3 more times, after 1, 5 and 15 minutes. Events can occasionally arrive more than once or out of order, so use id to ignore duplicates. If an event is missed, Retrieve Sent Email returns the email’s current activity.
